North
Warwickshire Community Partnership - Transport
Key
priorities:
For
many people, living in rural North Warwickshire provides an enjoyable
and pleasant way of life. However to be able to fully enjoy living
in the area, access to a car is important, (and to many people essential)
since many facilities and activities are located outside the local
area, for example hospital, cinema, shopping etc. Even facilities
such as a doctor's surgery located two or three miles can be difficult
to get to without a car.
Improving
public transport in rural areas has been recognised as a priority
by the Government. They have made additional funds available to
the County Council and these have been used in North Warwickshire
to improve public transport and make information available locally.
